To change the configuration settings for the Xerox on the Mac you need to print or at least start to print a document. I have no solution to this, only a workaround: Look if there is not a printer’s option imposing this behaviour.
I am having the same xerkx. This seems to be one of the list of quirks associated with using acrobat on a Mac, very frustrating! I am using a Brother printer with the same issue.
If the print dialog doesn’t show various printing options, click on the downward-pointing triangle to the right of the printer list Choose the Xerox from the printer list in the dialog In order to print to the Xerox at all you must have set your accounting info in the past see the accounting setup page if not. If the Xerox is the only printer for which you have a special preset configuration saved, you can probably just leave the Xerox settings preset selected for all printing — whether to the Xerox or not.
The Xerox settings that don’t apply to other printers will just be ignored by them. Choose “Advanced” in that pop-up menu One of the options shown will now be “Banner Sheet”. To use the settings you have saved you’ll want to make sure that you choose the Xerox settings in the “Presets” menu in the print dialog before printing. Documents with an even number of pages print fine.

So you should already have created a “preset” configuration for the Xerox So first choose some random document or create a little test document in some application.
My workaround was to print an even no.
